After more than two years of stop due to the pandemic situation and the war we came back for a short but important mission to Ethiopia in Addis Ababa from 25 to 28 March.
Domenico Fanelli brought two suitcases with life-saving medicines provided by the PCM Blood Donors for the patients in Makallè, medicines which, thanks to the help of the Ethiopian Minister of Health, Dr Lia Tadesse, reached our heart patients in Makallè.
Dr. Fernanda Tomassini visited 15 heart patients in Addis Ababa and prepared clinical reports for Emergency as well, where patients requiring surgery are operated on at the Salam Centre in Khartoum.
This is the first step for resuming our activities in the prevention and treatment of our heart patients.
We are confident and expect that the conditions will be right for us to be able to return to Tigray as well.
